We love to Pay it Forward here at T-BONES, Cactus Jack's, and Copper Door and Random Acts of Kindness have always been part of our company's culture. In 2015 we decided to bring our love of these random acts up another notch... and have been surprising guests with free desserts, free appetizers, free meals and other cool surprises at all our locations almost daily! It does not stop there; each recipient is then given a $25 Pay It Forward dining certificate to present to a random person to keep the momentum going. We love doing this so much that we've dedicated an entire website to the stories and memories we've created and are creating everyday... Enjoy!
Random Acts of Kindness

My RAK went to a mother and daughter that were having a great time here. Sarah said the young girl was so polite and respectful and really wanted to give the RAK to them so I did. The little girl was so cute and funny and so well behaved. They came to Salem to visit a friend and when they do they always eat here however, they happen to be Hudson regulars. That night they were going to Holman Stadium to watch the game then stay for the fireworks. The mom was very excited to get this and the little girl was even more excited to have her pic taken. I did buy them lunch.
A Great Birthday Present To A Great Couple!
Tonight I decided to do a Random Act of Kindness to these wonderful folks Mario and Louise. Every time they are here they are so happy and such a fun loving couple. Mario told me it was his birthday and I knew he needed a present from us. Thank you for being such valued guests to us and we look forward to seeing you again. He is so happy to Pay It Forward to someone of his choosing.
1st GrandParents Day!
I had a party of 4 tonight. Every time I walked by the table a little baby about 8 months old would wave to me with the biggest smile. She was so happy throughout their entire meals. I spoke with the party several times about how happy and adorable she was. The older couple said they were in for Grandparents day and it was their first grandchild. I decided to RAK them, since they were already receiving a 25% discount, I wanted to hook them up for their next visit. I gave them a $25 GC and the pay it forward certificate. They were laughing saying it pays to have a cute granddaughter.
This morning a woman called in a takeout, and was really upset that another restaurant just tried to tell her that her allergies aren't that serious, and she shouldn't worry about it when they pack up her meals. This seemed really odd for someone to say to a guest, but like we always do we went over each ingredient, and our methods for cooking them allergy free. She was so happy that we took the time so I couldn't help but buy her dinner as a Random Act as Kindness. She was so happy that she started clapping, and she can't wait to pay it forward.
Puppies First Visit
Had a family sit on the terrace tonight. It was their second visit, however it was the first visit for their 3 month old Husky, still fluffy with puppy fur. They loved the fact they were able to bring their new edition to the family, only the second day with her, to a dog friendly restaurant and sit in the sun and even have a dog menu. They were very impressed with the service they received as well as the food, especially for the pup. I informed other staff members of the puppy and everyone wanted to see her as well. The family was even more grateful when I told them their new edition to the family had prompted me to choose them for my Random Act of Kindness. I gave them a $25 Gift Card for a future visit, and a Pay It Forward to give someone else, they said they would find another family with a dog so they could bring theirs in as well. Awesome family and such an adorable puppy.
Regulars Who Needed a Boost
Had a couple come in tonight who are regulars at our family of restaurants. I was told they recently had a huge family scare when their daughter got in a very serious car accident, almost losing her life and that of her unborn child. She had blood transfusions and emergency surgeries to save her life. She went through an emergency cesarian section to save her baby as well. The couple shared with me that both are doing ok and are expected to be fine, however their daughter has a long road of rehab for her leg. I gave both of them a hug and told them we were taking care of their dinners. I gave them a pay it forward to give to someone else. They both gave me another hug as they left, and thanked myself and T-BONES for always being so amazing and there for their patrons.
